Which image formats are supported?
You can view metadata for JPEG, PNG, and WebP images. EXIF editing is supported for JPEG and WebP. PNG uses a separate eXIf chunk and is read-only in this tool.
Does editing the metadata reduce image quality?
No. The tool rewrites only the EXIF segment. The image pixels are preserved, though JPEG images are re-encoded at high quality if mode conversion is required.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
Yes. The tool processes images on the server so it can read and write EXIF data with piexif. The image is not stored permanently after processing.
What does stripping GPS data do?
It removes all GPS-related EXIF tags from the image, so location information is no longer embedded in the downloaded file.
